"..I lay down my life for my sheep.."
I would strongly encourage you to go and read John 10. What's so beautiful about it is that Jesus goes on and talks about how His sheep know and listen to His voice. Any other voice, they run. Its funny because we hear voices and people talking all day every day, but we immediatey know the difference between a strangers voice and the voice of God. The sweet voice of God.
“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep."
Ive learned over the years, that hearing the voice of God is not a loud roar, rolling thunder sounds with a big bullhorn..Its quiet. Meeting Him in the secret place is where you will find His tender whipser. Its not a physical sound, but when you know the Lord, Just as the scripture talks about, then you will notice the difference between a normal voice and His. Your thoughts and His. Your actions and His.
Seek His face. Seek His voice because He knows you and He wants to be there for you, just like a good Shepherd does.
