"Now that I, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one anothers feet.."
John 13 tells the story of Jesus washing His disciples feet the night before He knew His final hour was coming. Jesus humbled himself, saying "No servant is greater than his master." The Lord is telling us, through this beautiful act, that this is an act of servanthood and worship. I cant imagine having Jesus wash my feet. Even Peter said with good intentions "No, you shall never wash my feet." but yet Jesus replied, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with me." This is how beautiful and humble our God is. Even when I think my feet are too dirty, too messy, thinking the Lord should NEVER wash my feet because He is the Almighty Yeshua, but that is what He is exampling. He came down to relate to us. To serve and save us, from showing His love through washing our feet, all the way to the death on that cross. Lord, may I always follow in your footsteps, and one day, wash the feet of my King!
This painting is so important to me. The Lord spoke SO many times through this painting throughout this past year. This piece has shown me career change, answers to prayer, His anointing on me, and what the future promises. My biggest hope, is that if you buy this piece, the Lord shall reveal things to you also, and that you shall feel the presence of the Lord in your home.
