"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.." - Psalm 23:4
Psalm 23 is a beautiful scripture that expresses who the Lord is in a dark time, but I believe everyone goes through a season such as verse 4. Fearing no evil is easier said then done. When we talk about fear, our minds spiral to all different places in our circumstances. A lot of what if's, why did's, and How can I's. In all of this, I am here to tell you that Jesus sees your what if's. He sees your fears and asks you to stand hand in hand with Him. To trust Him because He will walk with you through those fears and dark valleys.
This piece is extra special to me because of the season my husband and I have been in. A couple months ago, we has our second miscarriage. Talk about fears stirring up. All the questions of why? Did we do something wrong? What if it happens again? What if we cant have kids? Is there something wrong with me? But in all these questions, He is hand in hand with us through this dark valley and we will see the beauty on the other side someday, like He promised. We were not made to be fearful, thats why, over and over in scripture we see Him say "Do not be afraid", "Do not fear".
So I'm here to tell you: Do not be afraid. Take the Good Shepherds hand. He will walk with you.
