"You rule over the surging sea, when its waves mount up, you still them." Psalm 89:9
 
Sometimes life can feel like a terrible wind storm on the sea. Rushing waves, strong winds, lightning that crashes on the waves when it strikes. Scary when you're in the middle of it, right?
     
      In Mark 4, the Disciples felt that same fear. When they went to leave the crowd and go to the other side of the waters, it says: "Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
 
  Even the WAVES obey Him! Sometimes I think we forget how powerful our God is. Who GOD is. As if our problems are things that the Lord can't fix or conquer. If He can still the waves with one breath, then He can heal your anxiety. If He can command the winds to be calm, then He can be there in your brokenness.  If He can raise from the grave after His brutal death, then He can give you life again. 
 
    Have Faith! Give your life to Jesus and watch the sea of you life become still.
